Job Description

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for managing the timely planning, procurement, and delivery of high quality, cost effective goods and services from the supply base.  The position reports into the Supply Chain Management organization. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•         Analyze demand/MRP data to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels, and order quantities utilizing supply base and commodity specific knowledge.

•         Effect timely purchasing transactions that achieve company quality, schedule, cost, legal and strategic objectives.

•         Work with internal organizations and suppliers to continuously reduce costs and inventory levels.

•         Maintain purchasing related data in the company’s ERP system. Buying experience with domestic& international suppliers.

•         Determine root causes of parts shortages and implement permanent fixes.

•         Resolve quality issues with purchased materials and deploy corrective process improvements.

•         Maintain leading edge knowledge of the Supply Chain Management function through continuous learning.

•         Accomplish special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management.

•         Conduct weekly and monthly raw and FG inventories

•         Resolve and reconcile negative inventory on hands issuing POs

•         Review and reconcile daily interbranch discrepancies

•         Analyze system data and other information in order to determine efficient inventory levels and order quantities. 

•         Validate production input and input exceptions

•         Input daily scrap transactions

Buying experience with indirect materials (MRO)

Job Requirements

Education:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university is required

Experience:

5 – 10 years of experience in a manufacturing purchasing and materials control industry

APICS certification is a plus

Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

Possess “Big Picture” Operations knowledge.

Must be able to work with all departments within RSI in order to be effective. 

Excellent time management skills to manage high volume in a fast-paced environment.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Able to build productive relationships with suppliers and customers.

Team & people oriented, professional and displays a “can-do” attitude.

Skilled in using MSOffice/Windows in a networked PC environment.

Experience with the J.D. Edwards OneWorld ERP system desirable.

Ability to be flexible and calm under sometimes tense conditions.
