Job Description

PURPOSE:

This position assists the Channel Sales and Marketing team in the development and execution of marketing and promotional programs.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing execution of marketing plans for major programs within a channel of distribution, including: Pricing and Promotions, Advertising, and Merchandising and Resets. This position also provides project management for key channel programs to drive desired business results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Assist in the design, development and coordination of marketing collateral including signage, merchandising samples, catalogs, and brochures

·         Maintain organized marketing library of all existing materials and communications including images for use in collateral

·         Management of channel promotional marketing programs, credits, approvals and associated reporting

·         Create and maintain reports and queries for sales, marketing & senior management as requested

·         Provide customer and competitive research to support various channel initiatives

·         Assists Brand Management and Digital Marketing teams with channel web and social media development and maintenance

·         Assist in the tracking of marketing project budgets, development of PO’s and processing of project invoices

·         Completes special projects and other duties as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Education, Experience and Skills:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field or relevant work experience preferred

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to understand and use both standard (Microsoft Office Suite/Adobe Suite) and proprietary software systems

·         Use and understanding of current Social Media and Digital Publishing Platforms

·         Proven interpersonal skills; ability to excel in a matrix team environment

·         Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven setting

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret common business documents including business reports, charts, graphs and diagrams. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers/clients, members of the business community and public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Some limited travel is required. Travel is typically by company car and commercial air carrier. Hours will vary as necessitated by business.
